Keep an eye out for our Autism Awareness cruiser during the month of April.
Autism is a complex, lifelong developmental disability that typically appears during early childhood and can impact a person’s social skills, communication, relationships, and self-regulation. On average, 1 out of every 59 children in the United States will be diagnosed with some form of Autism Spectrum Disorder. The “puzzle piece” became the official symbol of the Autism Society in 1999. It has since become synonymous with Autism Awareness.
