Quincy Police Welcome Two New Officers

Quincy Police Welcome Two New Officers

Please welcome two more of our newest officers, Officer Joshua Walker and Officer Nicholas Lawrence. These two have quite a bit in common. They attended the MBTA Police Academy together, both worked for the Transit Police for about two years, and both are Army veterans.

Officer Walker spent nine years in the #USArmy, where he deployed to Afghanistan from 2010-2011. Becoming a police officer has been one of his biggest accomplishments. When he's not working, you might find him hunting, fishing, or hiking.

Officer Nicholas Lawrence spends his spare time on the ice or building higher-end gaming computers. Nick is a defenseman for the Skate for the 22 Foundation - an organization that conducts suicide prevention seminars for players and their families, provides financial assistance and other support to families of veteran suicide victims, and increases public awareness of the significant rate of suicides among military veterans: 22 a day.

Please join us in welcoming Josh and Nick to the Quincy Police Department. We thank them for their service!
