Mayor Thomas P. Koch today announced the creation of The Quincy Relief Fund to coordinate charitable fund-raising efforts aimed at helping people and organizations hardest hit by the coronavirus pandemic.
The program will be administered by The Quincy Foundation, a registered 501c3 nonprofit corporation with a mission under normal circumstances to provide charitable contributions to local organizations and help support community events like the City’s Flag Day Parade and Christmas Festival.
“I can’t tell you how many people over the last several weeks have called me with a very simple question – ‘How can I help?’ This is part of that answer,” Mayor Koch said. “Throughout our City’s long, proud history, the people of our community have always stepped up in times of challenge. The public health crisis we’re facing together today is no different.” Donations can be made at www.quincyrelieffund.com. Checks made out to The Quincy Foundation with “Quincy Relief Fund” in the memo line can be mailed to the Quincy Foundation, c/o Colonial Federal Savings Bank, 15 Beach Street, Quincy, MA 02170.
All proceeds from the fund will go directly to people and organizations impacted by coronavirus pandemic. There are no administrative costs associated with the fund, and all donations are fully tax deductible. For more information and questions, please e-mail email@example.com
