Changes Due To COVID-19

In an effort to help reduce the spread of COVID-19, and keep our residents and first responders safe, we are asking citizens to use increased discretion when seeking police services. The Quincy Police Dept will always respond immediately to 911 emergency calls for service. Until further notice, please avoid coming into the lobby of the station unless you are reporting an emergency.

Our Records Division is CLOSED.

TO REPORT A CRIME: If you have an emergency, or need medical assistance, please contact 9-1-1. If you need to report a crime of a NON-EMERGENCY nature, please contact our dispatch at 617.479.1212. Officers will be taking reports over the phone for any incident we feel would not require an in-person interview. This may include reports such as fraud, ID theft, minor vandalism, past larcenies, etc. Each case will be determined on a case-by-case basis.

New Applications: For Quincy residents and business owners wishing to apply for a LTC, please send completed application, copy of live-fire certificate, and check or money order for $100 made payable to the City of Quincy to the address below. We will begin the process and contact you at a later date for picture and fingerprinting.

Renewal Applications: Please send the completed application form with a $100 check or money order (made payable to the City of Quincy) to the address below. We will start the renewal process and contact you at a later date.
