Search Warrant Yields Loaded Firearm and Large Quantity of Drugs

On April 8, 2019 at approx. 6:10pm, members of the Quincy Police Drug Control Unit observed what they believed to be a drug transaction between a resident of 6 Quarry Street #1, identified as Robert Cooley, and a male, identified as Jeffrey Wilson.

Detectives conducted a motor vehicle stop of Mr. Wilson's vehicle. During this motor vehicle stop, detectives recovered approx. 8 grams of crack cocaine. Based on prior knowledge, and information learned during stop, detectives applied for and were granted a search warrant of 6 Quarry Street #1.

Upon execution of the search warrant, at approx. 11:00pm, the following items were recovered:
1. .22 caliber Erma AA firearm (loaded)
2. 38 rounds of .22 ammunition
3. 77 bags of green leafy substance believed to be marijuana which weighed in excess of 50 lbs with a value of ~$100,000
4. Over 2,000 grams of cocaine - with a street value of ~$200,000
5. 505 THC cartridges - valued at ~$25,000
6. Approx. 20 grams of Methamphetamine - valued at ~$2,000
7. Approx. $30,000 cash
8. Other items indicative of drug sales (packaging material, money counter, heat sealer, etc.)

Jeffrey Wilson, 35, of Dennis St, Roxbury, was arrested and charged with:
1. Possession of Class B with the Intent to Distribute
2. Impeding/Interfering with a Police Investigation
3. Conspiracy to Violate the Controlled Substances Act

Robert Cooley, 35, of 6 Quarry St #1, Quincy was arrested and charged with:
1. Distribution of Class B (cocaine)
2. Conspiracy to Violate the Controlled Substances Act
3. Trafficking Cocaine 200 grams
4. Trafficking Marijuana
5. Trafficking Class B (Methamphetamine)
6. Unlicensed Possession of a Firearm
7. Firearm in the Commission of a Felony
8. Unsecured Firearm
9. Illegal possession of Ammunition
10. Possession of Class C with the Intent to Distribute (THC)

Both are expected to be arraigned this morning in Quincy District Court.
