Celebrating the Spring Equinox in Merrrymount Park

This tour reschedules the Winter Solstice tour. Join Park Dept. Program Manager Paul Doherty and Sally Owen for a full moon stroll through Merrymount Park.   BRING A FLASHLIGHT!  There may be roots and rocks on the trails which are hilly in places so you might want to bring a walking stick. 

Meet in the parking lot at Adams Walk off Merrymount Parkway (Rt. 3A) near the intersection of Hancock St. (across from Veterans Memorial Stadium).

In preparation for the 400th anniversary of Quincy's settlement in 2025, we will look back on how Quincy celebrated its 300th anniversary in 1925 walking part of the tour route described in the Historical Guide prepared for the celebration.  The tour will include a description of how Quincy granite was quarried to build King's Chapel.  Meet at the parking lot at the intersection of W. Howard St. and Quincy Ave. (next to Hajjars Big and Tall).
