Pedestrian Struck on Burgin Parkway and Granite Street

On Monday, February 25, 2019 at 7:39pm, Quincy Police received several 9-1-1 calls about a motor vehicle crash involving a pedestrian at the intersection of Burgin Parkway & Granite Street. Several units, including Quincy Fire Dept and Brewster Ambulance Service, arrived on scene moments after the first calls. When emergency personnel arrived, they located two vehicles involved in a head-on collision and a pedestrian that was struck prior to the crash. The operators of both vehicles involved in the crash remained on scene.

Initial investigation appears to show that both vehicles were travelling on Burgin Parkway with a green signal. The pedestrian stepped off the sidewalk and attempted to cross Burgin Parkway when she was struck.

The pedestrian, a 59-year-old female from Quincy, was transported by Brewster Ambulance to Boston Medical Center where she remains in critical condition.
