Drug Take Back Day is being held on Saturday, October 27th from 10am-2pm at the Quincy Police Station, 1 Sea Street, Quincy. Officers will be in the parking lot of the station to collect your unused / expired prescription medication.
ACCEPTED: Prescriptions, over-the-counter medications, vitamins, samples, medications for pets, ointments, lotions, liquid medications in glass or leak proof containers.
NOT ACCEPTED: Needles (sharps), thermometers, bloody or infectious waste, medications from businesses or clinics, hydrogen peroxide, aerosol cans, inhalers.
Manet Community Health Center offers a syringe disposal kiosk for safe disposal at the North Quincy site at 110 West Squantum Street. The kiosk is located in the main entrance vestibule. Used sharps can be brought to the kiosk in a secured sharps container (coffee cans, small laundry detergent containers can be used).
Syringe disposal is available during the following hours:
Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 8:30 AM to 9:00 PM
Tuesday, Friday 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
Saturday 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM
*For your convenience, the Department maintains a drug disposal receptacle in the lobby at Police Headquarters. You can bring in your unused medications 24 hours a day, seven days per week - no questions asked.
