Please welcome Officer Brendan McNeil. Officer McNeil comes from a family of Quincy police officers: his father is a retired captain and his brother is a current sergeant -making them the 9th set of brothers currently working together at QPD!
Q: Why did you want to become a police officer? When did you realize that was what you wanted to do?
A: I knew I wanted to become a police officer since I was young. Growing up my father was a police officer and I saw my brother become one also, it is a profession I have always looked up to.
Q: What activities do you enjoy on your time off?
A: Spending time with my family and golfing.
Q: What do you think will be the toughest part of this job?
A: Familiarizing myself with each area.
Q: What was your favorite subject in the academy and why?
A: Advanced Patrol Procedures. I was able to use everything that I learned throughout the academy and apply it to real life scenarios.
Q: What is something you are most proud of?
A: Graduating from the police academy.
