As part of the ongoing effort to introduce our newest police officers, we introduce Officer Paul Farina. Paul served 8 years active duty service in the United States Army. Having just completed his 8-week Field Training Program, he is currently assigned to the 4pm-12am shift.
Q: Why did you want to become a police officer? When did you realize that is what you wanted to do?
A: I wanted to become a police officer to serve the community I grew up in. realized I wanted to become a police officer while in high school.
Q: What activities do you enjoy on your time off?
A: Reading and traveling.
Q: What is the best advice you have ever received and who gave it to you?
A: Don't go to sleep angry - my father.
Q: What was the last book you read?
A: Into Thin Air
Q: What was your favorite subject in the Police Academy and why?
A: Criminal Law and Criminal Procedure because they showed me the do's and don'ts of the job.
Q: What is something you are most proud of?
A: To be the first member of my family to become law enforcement.
