During the months of March and April, the Quincy Police Drug Control Unit (DCU) along with Braintree Police Department Drug Control Unit, South Shore Drug Task Force, and the Boston Police Department became involved in a drug investigation into a drug trafficking organization headed by Matthew Martinez of 74 Tirrell Street, Apt. 2R, Quincy MA. As a result of this investigation, search warrants were issued for the residence of Mr. Martinez, as well as his vehicle.
On 04/26/2018 at 6:00am, members of the QPD DCU executed the search warrants. Inside the home, detectives located Mr. Martinez and Lisselot Ariasbaez. The following items were seized: $2,346 US Dollars, brass knuckles, a KAHR CW-45 SE1082 firearm, magazine loaded w/ 6 rounds of .45 caliber ammunition, numerous cellular phones, items indicative of drug sales, as well as other items.
Matthew Martinez, 26, of 74 Tirrell St, Apt 2R, was arrested and charged with Possession of Firearm, Possession of Firearm With two Prior Drug Convictions (Armed Career Criminal), Possession of Ammunition, Possession of a Dangerous Weapon (Brass Knuckles), and Improper Storage of a Firearm.
Lissolet Ariasbaez, 22, of 74 Tirrell St, Apt. 2R, was arrested and charged with Possession of Firearm, Possession of Ammunition, Possession of a Dangerous Weapon (Brass Knuckles), and Improper Storage of a Firearm.
Both are scheduled to be arraigned in Quincy District Court this morning.
