On April 11, 2018, at approx 6:40pm, Officer Paul Foley was monitoring traffic at the intersection of Apthorp St and Quincy Shore Dr when he observed a red Chrysler Pacifica speeding. As the Pacifica passed by him, Officer Foley noticed the vehicles windows were heavily tinted. Officer Foley activated his emergency lights and siren in an attempt to pull the vehicle over in the area of Pratt Rd, however, the vehicle fled. Officer Foley terminated his pursuit as the vehicle continued to accelerate and reached speeds of approx. 60 miles per hour.
A short time later, Officer Gaeta and Officer Silcox observed the Pacifica driving north on Dorchester Av. Officers observed the Pacifica abruptly stop in the middle of Moon Island Rd and all three occupants fled the vehicle. Officers followed the suspects down the steep and dangerous embankment. Sgt Lencki, who had arrived on scene, observed one suspect, now identified as Anthony Veiga on Border St. Sgt. Lencki exited his cruiser and pursued Mr. Veiga. Mr. Veiga ran into a back yard, over a fence and through another yard. Mr. Veiga was taken into custody by Sgt. Lencki near the intersection of Monmouth St and Shoreham St. Officer Foley located a second male, now identified as Threshaun Cox-Walker, and placed him into custody in front of a home on Border St.
A short time later, dispatch began receiving 911 calls for a "blonde male" running through back yards. The male was observed hopping fences between Pratt Rd, Trevor St, and Mayflower Rd while being pursued by the police. A resident on Mayflower Rd observed the male in his back yard and detained him until police units arrived. The "blonde male" was identified as Robert Erminelli.
During the inventory process of the vehicle, marijuana was located. The marijuana was packaged in a manner consistent with drug distribution. During this investigation, officers seized $1,710 cash, five cellular phones, and approx. $600-$1200 in marijuana (street value).
Robert Erminelli, 21, of James St, Brockton was arrested and charged with Speeding, Excessive tint, Stop sign violation (x 3), Marked lanes violation, Fail to stop for Police, Operating a MV to endanger, Trespassing, Interfering with a Police investigation, Disorderly Conduct, and Possession Class D with Intent to Distribute. An Immediate Threat form has been filed with the RMV.
Anthony Veiga, 21, of Parker St, Brockton, was arrested and charged with Trespassing, Interfering with a Police Investigation, Disorderly Conduct, Resisting arrest, and Possession With Intent to Distribute Class D.
Treshaun Cox-Walker, 20, of Longworth Ave, Brockton was arrested and charged with Trespassing, Interfering with a Police Investigation, Disorderly Conduct, and Possession with Intent to Distribute Class D.
