During the month of January 2018, the Quincy Police Drug Control Unit (DCU) initiated an investigation into the distribution of crack cocaine. The target of the investigation was identified as Darryl Clemons of 36 Edinboro Road Apt. 1R Quincy.
As a result of this investigation, detectives applied for and were granted a search warrant for the residence of Mr. Clemons.
On Friday, January 12, 2018, at approx 2:48pm, the DCU executed the search warrant. A systematic search of the residence recovered the following: cocaine, a .45 Glock 21 semi-automatic pistol, ammunition, Clonazepam, Lorazapam, Alprazolam, approx. $1500 US currency, and other items indicative of drug distribution. The firearm was determined to be stolen in North Carolina in 2010.
Mr Clemons was arrested and charged with the following: 2 counts Distribution of Class B (Cocaine), subsequent offense, 2 counts Possession With the Intent to Distribute Class C (Alprazolam & Lorazapam), subsequent offense, Possession With the Intent to Distribute Class B (Cocaine), subsequent offense, Possession of a Firearm Without a License, Illegal Possession of Ammunition, Possession of a Large Capacity Feeding Device, Improper Storage of a Firearm, Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony, Receiving Stolen Property > $250 (Firearm), and Armed Career Criminal.
