Five Arrested For Trafficking Fentanyl Following Search Warrant

During the months of October and November 2017, the Quincy Police Drug Control Unit (DCU) initiated an investigation into the distribution of Fentanyl in the City of Quincy. The targets of the investigation were identified as Giovanni Bautista and Justin Reyes. The DCU learned that Mr. Bautista and Mr. Reyes used two vehicles to facilitate their drug distribution business: a green Ford Expedition and a black Acura TSX.

As a result of that investigation, at approx. 10:45am on November 14th, members of the DCU executed a search warrant at 338 Copeland Street, #38, Quincy. Detectives seized approx. 57 grams of Fentanyl, 33 grams of Cocaine,$2,688 in cash, and prescription medication (Buprenorphine [Suboxone], Clonazepam, and Alprazolam). Detectives also seized items used in the sale and distribution of narcotics.

During the execution of the search warrant, an infant was located inside the home. The Department of Children & Families was contacted and is involved.

The below individuals were arrested and charged as follows:

-Giovanni Bautista, 24, of 338 Copeland Street #38, is charged with Trafficking Fentanyl, Trafficking Cocaine, Possession to Distribute Class B (Buprenorphine) Subsequent Offense, Two (2) counts of Possession to Distribute Class C (Clonazepam & Alprazolam) Subsequent Offense, Conspiracy to Violate the Drug Control Laws and Reckless Endangerment of a Child.

-Justin Reyes, 18, of Rockland St, Dedham is charged with Trafficking Fentanyl, Trafficking Cocaine, Possession to Distribute Class B (Buprenorphine), Two (2) counts of Possession to Distribute Class C (Clonazepam & Alprazolam) and Conspiracy to Violate the Drug Control Laws.

-Jennie Rodriguez, 28, of 338 Copeland St #38, Quincy is charged with Trafficking Fentanyl, Trafficking Cocaine, Possession to Distribute Class B (Buprenorphine), Two (2) counts of Possession to Distribute Class C (Clonazepam & Alprazolam), Conspiracy to Violate the Drug Control Laws and Reckless Endangerment of a Child.

-Luis Bautista, 27, of Stanley St, Boston is charged with Trafficking Fentanyl, Trafficking Cocaine, Possession to Distribute Class B (Buprenorphine), Two (2) counts of Possession to Distribute Class C (Clonazepam & Alprazolam) and Conspiracy to Violate the Drug Control Laws.

-Christian Marrero-Santana, 22, of Bernard St, Boston is charged with Trafficking Fentanyl, Trafficking Cocaine, Possession to Distribute Class B (Buprenorphine), Two (2) counts of Possession to Distribute Class C (Clonazepam & Alprazolam) and Conspiracy to Violate the Drug Control Laws.

Following the execution of the aforementioned search warrant in Quincy, Detectives traveled to Dedham to execute a search warrant at Mr. Reyes' residence. The Dedham Police seized a quantity of brown powder believed to be Fentanyl, packaging materials and other contraband to include a firearm from Mr. Reye's residence. Dedham Police took custody of that evidence and additional charges will be sought against Mr. Reyes in Dedham Court. A total of $4,500.00 cash was seized from Mr. Reyes' residence.
