Traffic, Parking, Alarm and Lighting

Welcome to TPAL

Welcome to the web page for the City of Quincy Department of Traffic, Parking, Alarm and Lighting (TPAL). TPAL was created in July 2016 to bring together several different divisions performing similar functions within the City.

The TPAL Department is responsible for the Traffic and Parking Operations within the City, including the maintenance and functionality of traffic signal systems, and enforcement and oversight of parking regulations. The Alarm Division is responsible for monitoring and maintenance of the city’s fire alarm network and conducts commercial building plan review of sprinkler and fire alarm systems. The Lighting Division is responsible for monitoring and providing essential support services for the City’s street lighting and lighting of public areas including sports fields and parking facilities.

Mission Statement

“Enhance the safety of Quincy’s children, residents, visitors, guests, drivers, commuters, and employees of local businesses through effective and efficient management of Traffic, Parking, Alarm, and Lighting System resources and assets.”
