The City of Quincy Office of Emergency Management coordinates required activities to build and sustain the capabilities necessary to prevent, mitigate against, prepare for, respond to, and recover from emergency situations and disasters both natural and man made utilizing an all-hazards approach.

Disasters may strike at any time with little or no notice.  The list of disasters includes, natural events, such as storms (hurricane, blizzard, nor’easter), flooding, and also non-natural events which may include, fires, hazardous material releases, explosions or other threats caused by human activities.

Quincy Emergency Management works in direct collaboration and maintains active partnerships with local, state, and federal public safety and emergency management agencies in order to reduce vulnerability to hazards and maintain an increased capacity to prepare for and respond to potential threats.
