New Quincy Center Lots Open

Free after-hours parking for nearby restaurants

Two new temporary parking lots on Hancock Street in Quincy Center are now open and offering free parking for evening visitors to bars and restaurants such as the Iron Furnace, Angelo’s Coal Fired Pizza, Paddy Barry’s and all of the long-standing and new establishments in the Square.

A total of more than 140 spaces are available in the two lots. The first is located next to the condominium development at the former Quincy Fair Mall site and is accessible via Ross Way. The second is directly across Hannon Parkway right behind the Hannon monument.

The lots are within a block of the heart of downtown’s burgeoning dining and nightlife scene, which continues to grow as development and construction projects move forward at the same time.

The Quincy Fair Mall parking area is set aside for permit parkers during business hours but is open to the public any time after 4 p.m. and all day and night on weekends. The Hannon Parkway lot is open to the public at all times.

Parking fees and rules have not changed in the primary municipal parking area, the Hancock Parking Lot.
