The Nursing Division conducts programs aimed at the prevention of disease and promotion of healthy behaviors.  Our mission is to promote physical and mental health and prevent disease, injury and disability through:
        •   Preventing epidemics and the spread of disease.
      •   Protecting against environmental hazard
      •   Preventing injuries
        •   Promoting and encouraging healthy behaviors and mental health.
      •   Responding to disasters and assisting communities in recovery.
      •   Assuring the quality and accessibility of health services.
      •   Informing, educating, and empowering people about health issues.
      •   Mobilizing community partnerships to identify and solve health problems.
      •   Developing policies and plans that support individual and community        health efforts.
      •   Enforcing laws and regulations that protect health and ensure safety.
      •   Linking people to needed personal health services and assure the provision of health care when otherwise unavailable.
