AARP Tax Program:
AARP will prepare seniors income tax returns between January 1 and April 15th of each year. This is a free service and is done by appointment only. To schedule an appointment, please call 617-376-1246.
Senior Olympics:
Held in each May in conjunction with the Quincy Recreation Department. This week-long event is a celebration of the vitality one can have in the later years of life. A truly inspiring week. Events include: bowling; walking; running; track & field; and swimming events.
Annual Conference for Seniors:
Held each September, this conference is an all day event, provides breakfast, lunch and the option to attend two or three workshops. Workshops consist of both practical issues, such as health care and

Mayor Annual Thanksgiving Dinner:
Every year, on the day before Thanksgiving, the Mayor along with the Department of Elder Services provides a catered Thanksgiving meal for Quincy's elderly community held here at the Kennedy Center, 440 East Squantum Street. Reservations must be made; please call 617-376-1508.
Merrill Lynch Worldwide Telephone Calls:
Each December, the Department of Elder Services, along with Merrill Lynch, sponsors a free worldwide telephone call day. Participants may call anywhere in the world and talk for up to one hour. This festive day is enhanced by the generosity of local businesses who donate food, beverage and small gifts for the seniors who participate.
