Election Department The Election Department conducts all municipal, state and federal elections within the City of Quincy. This Department maintains and equips 30 precincts for the public to vote in a convenient and accessible manner. Elections are mandated by City Charter. The Election Department maintains all census files for the City, assists in the Federal Governments census and maintains street lists that are mandated by Chapter 52, Section 4 of the Massachusetts General Laws. In addition the Election Department prepares a list for the Jury Commissioner, conducts voter registration drives, processes nomination papers and works with the Secretary of State Central Voter Registration System.
